Alexander Liu is a talented 11-year-old pianist who has captivated audiences with his love for music and expressive performances. He began learning piano at the age of five and has since performed in numerous concerts at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, as well as in public events across Sydney. In 2024, he was accepted into the prestigious Rising Star Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Alexander achieved the AMEB Certificate of Performance (CMus) with High Distinction in 2025. In recent years, he has been a prizewinner at major competitions, including the Australian National Eisteddfod, Sydney Eisteddfod, St George Eisteddfod, and Ryde Eisteddfod in both 2024 and 2025. Internationally, he was awarded the Silver Medal at the Singapore International Music Competition 2025 and First Prize at the London Young Musicians Competition 2025.
In 2025, Alexander made his recital debut performing with Nocturne New Classical Orchestra in Beijing, China, under the baton of Russian conductor Ilya Dalintsev, the experience further enriched his musical collaboration and interpretative artistry.
In addition to piano, Alexander plays cello, performs with a string ensemble and choir, deepening his understanding of ensemble performance and musical communication.
