Angel Quingaiza

Angel Quingaiza is a young Australian pianist dedicated to the study and performance of classical music. Beginning his formal piano studies in early high school, he has rapidly developed a strong technical foundation alongside a growing sense of musical maturity and expressive control.

He is currently pursuing his musical education alongside his academic studies, focusing on repertoire spanning the Baroque and Romantic periods. His repertoire includes works by composers such as Bach, Chopin, and Debussy, with a particular affinity for expressive Romantic literature and nuanced, colour-driven interpretation.

Angel has received international recognition for his playing, including the Gold Prize in the Beethoven Award International Competition, the Gold Prize in Classical Music Stars, and the Silver Prize in the International Bach Competition.

In Australia, he was awarded first place in his division at the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod, achieving a high distinction score of 97/100 under adjudicator Clemens Leske. Following this result, he was invited to perform at the SCS Classical Music Recital at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, in recognition of both his performance standard and artistic potential.

He has also performed in a range of eisteddfods and live concert settings, gaining valuable stage experience and critical feedback. Angel is recognised for his musical sensitivity, attention to detail, and commitment to understanding the structure and character of the works he performs.

A disciplined and motivated musician, he practises consistently and seeks to further develop through competitions, auditions, and specialised music programs. He aims to continue his studies at a specialist music high school and, in the long term, pursue advanced training in piano performance.
