Caressa Peng is a 9 year old harpist located in Sydney. She is an international prize-winning harpist, having achieved success in various music competitions. She has won multiple First Prizes in her age categories for the Caneres International Music Competition Vienna (2023), American Protégé International Music Talent Competition (2023), Hong Kong International Harp Competition (2022 and 2023), and both the Second Prize and special Future Prize in the Basel International Online Harp Competition (2023).
She was also the First Place winner in the Sydney Eisteddfod 12 & Under and 15 & Under sections (2024), Ryde Eisteddfod (2022), Sydney Harp Eisteddfod (2022), and the AMEB Australia-wide “Win a Harp” competition (2021).
Caressa has performed harp solos in concerts in Australia and Hong Kong, harp ensemble and chamber music events, and has been invited to perform solo in Vienna (Hofburg Palace) and the USA (Carnegie Hall) as a competition winner. In August 2024, Caressa was invited to play solos for the Deputy Premier, Secretary of NSW Education and many other senior education officials at the State's Education Head Office Building, Parramatta. Caressa also played opening as a soloist for the Hills Performing Art Festival.
In addition to harp, Caressa also plays flute. As a proud member of the school band and the vocal ensemble, Caressa has a wonderful attitude towards teamwork and collaboration, always supportive of her peers' success even when it may not be her own.
