Jiashan Wang

Jiashan’s passion for the viola began in her primary school years, when she participated in her first chamber ensemble at the age of nine.

Drawn to its rich and warm tone, Jiashan believes that the viola is a fine solo instrument in its own right, just as much as the violin and cello. She is an active participant in numerous local Eisteddfods and has won many prizes. She achieved a Distinction in the AMEB LMus (Piano) examination in Year 8.

Jiashan holds a full music scholarship at PLC Sydney. She was a finalist in the KPO NSW Secondary School Concerto Competition in 2024, the Alf & Pollard Memorial Instrumental Awards in 2025, and the NSW Doctors Orchestra Scholarship Competition.
