Rebecca Liu

Rebecca Liu is a Year 7 student and a talented young guzheng musician. She has been learning guzheng for over eight years and has achieved outstanding results in competitions both in Australia and internationally. At just 11 years old, she has already reached the highest level of guzheng performance, equivalent to Grade 10.

Rebecca is currently part of the Rising Star Program at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Australian Chinese Music Youth Ensemble, regularly performing at various events across Sydney.

In 2026, she received Gold Awards at the Dunhuang International Music Competition and Xingyao Dunhuang Sydney. She also achieved First Place in the 12-and-under category and Second Place in the 15-and-under category at the Sydney Eisteddfod, as well as Second Place in the ensemble category.

Beyond her achievements, Rebecca especially enjoys making music with others and believes music has the power to bring people together across cultures and generations.
