The Piccolos are a dynamic young ensemble within the Sydney Chamber Music Project, made up of talented musicians aged just 12–13. Despite their youth, the group has rapidly emerged as a standout presence in Australia’s chamber music scene, known for their musical sensitivity, technical assurance, and infectious energy.

In 2025, The Piccolos won the Sydney Eisteddfod Chamber Music Event (18 & Under), distinguishing themselves among much older competitors with their expressive playing and remarkable ensemble cohesion. They were also recognised as prizewinners in Musica Viva’s Strike A Chord Chamber Music Competition 2025, one of the country’s most prestigious performance platforms for young musicians.
