Concerts for All and Sydney's iconic Queen Victoria Building (QVB) have launched a partnership to bring music to the heart of Sydney. After a year of preparations by both teams, this collaboration was officially marked last night by the delivery of a new grand piano, donated by Concerts for All, to its home at the QVB.
The after-hours delivery, which took place at 7 pm on 24 October 2025, sets the stage for new musical experiences, built on a shared goal: to fill the historic building with high-quality music and make it accessible to all.
With this donation as the foundation of the partnership, Concerts for All will also be presenting a new monthly concert series, right in the heart of the QVB. Starting this December 2025, visitors can enjoy performances from some of Australia's exceptional classical musicians.
The Delivery: A Community Effort
The successful delivery was a true community effort. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the QVB team, especially Guest Experience Manager Jared Byrne, who was on-site with our director, Yichao Ma, to welcome the new instrument.

In the spirit of community, this new arrival also means a new journey for the QVB's beloved old piano. It is being passed on to Pianos for the People, ensuring it will continue to make music and bring joy in a new home.
It was all made possible by the amazing Avia Piano Removals team, who safely and expertly delivered the piano on-site and also took the old one to its new home.
We invite everyone to come by, say hello to QVB's new grand piano, and even play a tune!
This is more than just a piano; it's an open invitation to create and share music. Keep an eye on our events page for the upcoming announcements about our first performance!
